Executive Director’s Message
The construction of the Silver Star Tower (SST) started in 2002 and was completed in November 2005. It became fully habitable in May 2006 with Ecobank being the first tenant. November 2015 is 10 years since the building and company came into existence and hence we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary.
Airport City was chosen as the location for the Tower because we had the vision that the Airport City was going to be the location for the modern skyline of Accra. As per our expectations, Silver Star Tower has now become an icon on the Accra skyline.
Silver Star Tower is the pioneer of Airport City and is constantly being chosen to be the location for businesses because of its prime location, which is at the intersection of the Liberation and Afgo Roads. As a result of this and the close proximity to the airport, new international businesses choose this location for their ventures. It has a uniquely aesthetic and iconic look.
Silver Star Tower is currently one of the best business addresses due to its unparalleled maintenance culture.
As part of our 10 year anniversary, we are upgrading and renovating our corporate tower with a budget of approximately three (3) million Cedis. This includes our entrance lobby, alucobond facia, air conditioning, lifts, LED lighting and others.
All throughout these 10 years, the Tower has had almost 100% occupancy rate. Our customer service is second to none and our corporate image is excellent. Silver Star Tower has indeed become iconic. The feedback from clientele has been generally positive and SST has met up with the international standards for office space. Our generators which are serviced regularly have made sure that even with the current issue of “dumsor”, there have not been any challenges.
The SST is a highly recommended office building and has a reputation for meeting international standards especially with our 48 hour time span of finishing maintenance requests.
It is our hope that 10 years from now, Silver Star Tower will continue to improve and maintain its position as a major icon on the Airport City Skyline.
